Robotics News

Students from across Nova Scotia came to Acadia University to learn how to build and program robots to compete in a BottleSumo competition. For the first time we hosted a junior Bottlesumo event, and allowed the senior teams to compete in the double table BottleSumo challenge. A fun and challenging couple of days and we were so impressed with the student engagement and creativity. We look forward to hosting more events like this is the future!

April was a busy month for outreach events. AVREC Day at Acadia University, Refresh Annapolis -Retro Game Night, and the Digby Recreation Centre were three more events attended by Acadia Robotics.

Congratulations to the Royal Robotics who won a Strategy and Innovation Award at the FIRST LEGO League World Championships in Detroit, Michigan on April 27, 2019. The team placed 15th in the robot rounds. Congratulations to the team on a great end to their INTO ORBIT season!
